Fremantle to ban single use plastic bags!

The City of Fremantle in Western Australia is looking to implement a ban on single-use plastic shopping bags. Three states in Australia, including South Australia, the Northern Territory and Australian Capital Territory, have already implemented a ban on single-use plastic bags; however the City of Fremantle will become the first city to do so on a council level. This is a tremendous effort that demonstrates a growing desire to proactively address environmental issues. Well done and good luck in pushing the local law through!
