Compost quality assessment
Test: Assessment of the quality of the resultant compost obtained after the disintegration test of BF-90 was performed to ensure that there was no adverse effect on the compost quality due to the presence of the biodegradable polymer fractions and its metabolites.
The quality of the resultant compost was assessed and compared with that of the control compost which was obtained after similar treatments without addition of the becausewecare™ biodegradable polymer.
Conclusion: There is no significant difference between the test compost and the control compost with respect to compost quality. This indicates that the addition of BF-90 in compost does not affect the final quality of the compost following disintegration and subsequent biodegradation of the material.
