Italy introduces a ban on plastic bags

  Italy has started the new year in a very positive way by banning single use plastic bags. Starting from the 1st of January 2011, only bioidegradable, cloth or paper bags will be offered by retailers across the country. This is a fantastic initiative for Italy and Italians who use up to 20 billion plastic bags per year!
